Left Behind at the Coffeeshop March 19, 2009

Posted by Zack in Missouri , trackback

I just came out to my favorite work-outside coffee shop, the Filling Station.

It’s an amazing Spring day. This place should be a mad house. But there’s no one. NO ONE is here.

I joked to the lone hipster tattooed worker behind the counter, “Maybe we’re the Left Behind.” I quickly realized you can’t joke about that kind of thing in a place like Kansas City. I don’t know whether he thought I was serious, or whether he was seriously considering the possibility, but he looked really upset all of a sudden.

“Just kidding!” I said. And then he told me it was the first movie his father ever brought him to — when he was 10.

It is Jesusland, after all.
